In Hamren v. Hamren, 26 A.2d 381 Md.,(1942) the court stated that in wife’s suit for alimony and divorce a mensa et thoro evidence was insufficient to discharge wife’s burden of substantiating charge of husband’s excessive drinking by satisfactory and convincing evidence of witnesses with first-hand knowledge. Code 1939, art. 35, § 4.
